One of the most rewarding parts of my real estate journey was building internet lead generation and working alongside my wife, Laura Carter, while she built out The NorthGaLife.com Team in the beautiful Lake Lanier region of North Georgia in Gainesville, GA.
Learning the Ropes Together
Laura entered real estate around 2002 and quickly established herself as a sharp, client-focused professional. We teamed up after she mastered her sales abilities, with me coming along later bringing my growing knowledge of internet marketing and website development to support her vision. Together, we grew NorthGaLife.com into a dedicated digital hub for Lake Lanier and Greater Gainesville real estate. Many agents benefitted from Laura’s guidance and direction over the years, keeping the whole show rolling every day long distance from the beach where I tugged her to for a decade.
I handled much of the technical side — building content, optimizing for search engines, and generating quality leads — while Laura excelled at building relationships, negotiating deals, and leading the team on the ground. It was a true partnership: Delta work ethic meets North Georgia wisdom and hospitality.

Based in Gainesville, Georgia, Laura’s team operated under Keller Williams Lanier Partners. We specialized in the Lake Lanier communities, including Gainesville, Buford, Flowery Branch, and surrounding Hall County areas. Lake Lanier is a stunning 38,000-acre reservoir with over 700 miles of shoreline — a paradise for waterfront living, boating, fishing, and year-round recreation.
The market we served featured everything from luxury lakefront homes and gentle-water coves to established neighborhoods and investment properties. Laura built a successful team known for strong local expertise, helping families find their dream homes in this vibrant, growing region just north of Atlanta.
A Successful Run and a Graceful Exit
Laura poured years of dedication into growing The NorthGaLife.com Team, developing a solid reputation for integrity and results in the competitive Lake Lanier market. Like me on the Gulf Coast, she leveraged digital tools and personal service to connect clients with the lifestyle they wanted — whether it was a weekend getaway cabin, a full-time family home, or an investment property with strong rental potential.
After many fulfilling years, Laura has also retired from active real estate. We both closed that professional chapter with gratitude for the lessons learned, the people we met, and the memories we made together.
