"Star of Bethlehem" is a Neil Young song on his 1977 album American Stars 'n Bars, though it was recorded earlier, on December 13, 1974, at Quadrafonic Sound Studios in Nashville. Here is my cover of it with the Yazoo Ramblers, which I posted to the channel on June 16, 2026.
It was cut for his shelved Homegrown project, with Emmylou Harris and Ben Keith on background vocals, and the original recording was finally released on Homegrown in June 2020.
Why I picked it
May the light shine down on you.
