"Take Me Home, Country Roads" is a song written by Bill Danoff, Taffy Nivert and John Denver, and John Denver released it as a single on April 12, 1971. Here is my cover of it with the Yazoo Ramblers, which I posted to the channel on May 29, 2026.
It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending August 28, was certified gold on August 18, 1971, and went platinum on April 10, 2017.
Why I picked it
A vision of what is no more.
