"Bad Moon Rising" is a song written by John Fogerty and performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Here is my cover of it with the Yazoo Ramblers, which I posted to the channel on May 27, 2026.
It was the lead single from their album Green River, released April 16, 1969, four months before the album itself. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 on June 28, 1969, and spent three weeks at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart that September. It was CCR's second Gold single.
Why I picked it
I've seen many bad moons rising across the dark Delta skies.
