"Brown Eyed Girl" is a song by Northern Irish singer and songwriter Van Morrison, who wrote it and recorded it in March 1967. Here is my cover of it with the Yazoo Ramblers, which I posted to the channel on May 27, 2026.
It came out as a single that June on the Bang label and peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, spending sixteen weeks on the chart. The Sweet Inspirations sang the backup vocals, and it is considered Morrison's signature song.
Why I picked it
A great song. I need to edit it so I can sing it to my blue-eyed girl.
How it came together
This is the first take, and it is a loose one. The video is labeled "Take #1" on the channel.
