"Tennessee Stud" is a song written by Jimmy Driftwood, who originally recorded and released it in 1959. Here is my cover of it with the Yazoo Ramblers, which I posted to the channel on June 14, 2026.
It is considered Driftwood's most recorded song, and it has been picked up by folk and country players ever since, Doc Watson and Johnny Cash among them.
Why I picked it
Rambling across the new frontiers.
